Ask don't beg

A lot of people don't understand this concept. It's okay to ask a question when you have one, but it's not okay to beg people for help just to get further along in the game. For some reason people feel that begging is an acceptable form of becoming a good player. Guess what? It's not! So don't do it because it's highly annoying.

Also, there are a lot of players out there that beg. So when you ask a question and get no help it is because so many people beg, and it is hard for players to differentiate between begging and asking. So if you don't get any help don't take it personally just move on and ask somebody else. Just move on, don't take it personally, and most of all the harass someone for not helping you out.

There is a lot of garbage out there and you can't expect everyone to be helpful. There are a lot of people out there that think playing equals = begging. The sooner we all learn to stop annoying people by begging the sooner the number grows and helpful players. There are few helpful people out there and the less we bother them the more of them there will be to help.

Creating duplicate accounts is cheating. If you want to play with yourself go off-line and do it.

I never understood why people did this. Why is it necessary to have duplicate accounts? Yes, you can statistically be more successful at the game but bottom line is its cheating. Yes, you may have a successful frag count on one profile, but why have an account to help you increase that count.

Is your ego so small that you feel like a better person if you have more kills than the other online players? Playing online is a good test on how well you're doing in the game. Are you picking the game up fast, or do you need to improve in a particular area? These are questions you should ask yourself while playing off-line.

There really is no benefit, and you cannot judge the type of player you are if you have multiple accounts. For example, you do very well under one account, but yet, you are terrible at another. Do people really feel that they are better player if they have a lot of kills against a player that doesn't fight back? You now have to mentally juggle accounts in your brain to figure out if you're a good player.

Having great numbers isn't necessarily a sign of a great player. It just proves that you play a lot and truly is no test of a good player you are. All it is is just a stat next to your name. Big deal! Having great or a lot of stats is in no way a litmus test to how good a player you are. Your stats cannot tell you how agile you are or how good of a shot you are. People can only assume how great of a player you are based on your stats. They will never really know unless they play a game against you.

The only way you will ever figure out if you're good player is to play another player that is just as good as you, because then you will improve. Not having by multiple accounts and creating the illusion that you're good. In my opinion, that type of cheating is just a way to make yourself look better as a player when you're really not that good!

Don't deliberately injure your own teammates (friendly fire)

I can't believe I even have to bring this up for people actually have a problem with deliberately killing members of their own team. People enter team games and kill members of their own team. Can you believe it?I can only assume that the purpose of attacking people on your own team is to disrupt the game. I can only say that is very bad behavior, and most likely will get you kicked out of most servers. As well, you should, because there is absolutely no point you should be killing members of your own team! Now in a real combat friendly fire is unavoidable and a part of the battlefield. Even experienced players accidentally FRAG members of their own team. There are times we get in situations where we are double teaming another player and you just fall subject to be innocent gunfire of someone on your own team. This is an inevitable part of the game and its okay.Just a simple fact that someone's behavior takes away from playing the game irritates me. What I mean is, if your actions are so deplorable that the other players have to stop playing and take a vote to have you booted off the server is ridiculous. Players should be playing the game, not spending their time policing the room that they are in. All they should be responsible for is to have fun.I think we would get a lot further teams would just boot off players that are there to kill anyone and everyone. It is pretty obvious which players are there for kills and kills only and not for team play. Get those players off the field! They are needed for team play like a previous article stated in the famous metaphor says “There is no I in team”. Let's keep it that way.Deliberately hurting your fellow teammates in a team game is obviously missing the point! Stop it, don't do it. If you want to be annoying then find another place to do it because we don't want you in our game room.Padding your stats with kills is that I've always said just a false way to make you feel better about being a poor player. If you kill someone on your team they obviously are not the fire back at first. So is that REALLY a kill! People should ask themselves at before they enter a room and go on a massive killing spree.

Don't tell others how to play their characters

Don’t tell others how to play their characters, that's just rude. Just because you wouldn't do something doesn't mean somebody else would. What is great about what makes us people is our individuality. Playing online is just an extension of who we are as people. One man's garbage is another man's gold, and just because you don't value something doesn't mean somebody else won't.

Be careful because everything is from your point of view. That is really what most people have to remember when they see someone doing something that they don't understand. We all have a way and style we like to play and that is great. But just because I play a certain way doesn't mean, my buddy sitting next to me play the same way. Just remember about perspectives. Everyone has one, and they are all different.

This task becomes more difficult as you become more of a veteran. When you see someone do something that you would do. You instantly try to stop them from doing so. But the thing is you have no idea what they are trying to do. Telling them how to do something is just poor etiquette. Asking questions is okay, but telling another player how to play the game is just wrong.

You may know how to play well for you! But that doesn't mean the way you play is not the best way to play for somebody else. If you begin imposing your will on others you are sure to be kicked out of most groups quickly. So don't do it let others play the game their way even if you think they are playing the game badly.

Don’t eat in my ear!!

I don't know if any of you experienced this one, but I have. It is very annoying and kind of disgusting. I understand how it gets done and why its gets done, but what I don't understand is why people can't be more conscious of it.

Please don't eat when playing against me, online. Actually, let me clarify this statement. Don't hook up to your headset that has a microphone on it and eat something while you are talking on it. Is that specific enough? I hope so, because a lot of people still don't get it. It's rude and it's gross so please stop doing it.

If you think that I want to hear you much on crackers while I am destroying you. You are sadly mistaken! What makes people think that they can be heard munching away on their favorite snack? I don't want to 1. Have you talk smack me and 2. Listen to you eat, while you are talking smack me. It is not fun at all and I don't want to hear it so stop doing it!

Don't get me wrong I like to munch on snacks too. I am a big Cheeze-It eater and as someone that likes this particular snack I am well aware of how loud they are to eat. They are yummy and a crunchy and I am addicted to them. But I know as I am playing a game that I have a headset with a microphone attached to it on that people will be able to hear me eat. So guess what? Knowing this tidbit I choose to either not eat my favorite snack or I don't put my headset on so people can hear me. It isn't that hard of a concept to figure out.

I remember one day, a long time ago I was playing one of my favorite first-person shooters. The person I was playing against had his headset on and was eating something while he was talking smack to me. Do you know how frustrating it is to ask someone to repeat the smack talk that you are receiving? This is very irritating! Not only did he FRAG me and made me feel like a total loser he made me listen to him as he digested his favorite food.

My advice is just put the food down. I know in today's day and age that it is difficult to consider the other person listening to you eat. We do not want to do it. I may be a little bit clearer about this. We do not want you to do it to us EVER! So do everyone a favor and put the bag of Chips Ahoy down and get down to playing the game. If you're hungry go eat, trust me you aren't missing anything.
