Ask don't beg

A lot of people don't understand this concept. It's okay to ask a question when you have one, but it's not okay to beg people for help just to get further along in the game. For some reason people feel that begging is an acceptable form of becoming a good player. Guess what? It's not! So don't do it because it's highly annoying.

Also, there are a lot of players out there that beg. So when you ask a question and get no help it is because so many people beg, and it is hard for players to differentiate between begging and asking. So if you don't get any help don't take it personally just move on and ask somebody else. Just move on, don't take it personally, and most of all the harass someone for not helping you out.

There is a lot of garbage out there and you can't expect everyone to be helpful. There are a lot of people out there that think playing equals = begging. The sooner we all learn to stop annoying people by begging the sooner the number grows and helpful players. There are few helpful people out there and the less we bother them the more of them there will be to help.

Creating duplicate accounts is cheating. If you want to play with yourself go off-line and do it.

I never understood why people did this. Why is it necessary to have duplicate accounts? Yes, you can statistically be more successful at the game but bottom line is its cheating. Yes, you may have a successful frag count on one profile, but why have an account to help you increase that count.

Is your ego so small that you feel like a better person if you have more kills than the other online players? Playing online is a good test on how well you're doing in the game. Are you picking the game up fast, or do you need to improve in a particular area? These are questions you should ask yourself while playing off-line.

There really is no benefit, and you cannot judge the type of player you are if you have multiple accounts. For example, you do very well under one account, but yet, you are terrible at another. Do people really feel that they are better player if they have a lot of kills against a player that doesn't fight back? You now have to mentally juggle accounts in your brain to figure out if you're a good player.

Having great numbers isn't necessarily a sign of a great player. It just proves that you play a lot and truly is no test of a good player you are. All it is is just a stat next to your name. Big deal! Having great or a lot of stats is in no way a litmus test to how good a player you are. Your stats cannot tell you how agile you are or how good of a shot you are. People can only assume how great of a player you are based on your stats. They will never really know unless they play a game against you.

The only way you will ever figure out if you're good player is to play another player that is just as good as you, because then you will improve. Not having by multiple accounts and creating the illusion that you're good. In my opinion, that type of cheating is just a way to make yourself look better as a player when you're really not that good!

Just because I kill you once it does not mean I intend to kill you the whole game!

This is a topic that a lot of people don't understand my opinion. I don't know what it is about the topic that is so difficult for some people to understand, I just feel the need to talk about it. Sometimes some people have a hard time grasping this concept and  I don't understand why.

So let me just say it, just like the title says “just because I kill you once does not mean I intend to kill you all game!”.  It could very well mean that because I killed you at a specific time in the game you were just the most opportune target for me at the time. That's it, nothing else; you were just there to be killed at the right time. I have no personal vendetta against you. You were just at the right place at the right time.

It is a game, that's it nothing more and nothing less. I was camping out and you just so happened to run by me at the right time. So I took advantage of the opportunity to FRAG you. It's that simple. It's not that complicated deal with it. I am not tracking you down and intentionally trying to kill you, I think you are little paranoid.

I have watched games where one particular player has a lot of kills on another player, and it is just a matter of coincidence. The two players just seem to cross paths more than other players playing the game. I know it's tough to believe but except it. There are a few reasons why I think this happens. Here is my list:

1.       Both players like to hide out in the same areas.

2.       Both players have similar type of gameplay.

3.       Both players are looking for the same type of weapons.

Just because you and another player happened across each other's paths more than other players make it does not mean that there is some type of conspiracy to ask another o player has for you. It could be for some of the reasons I've listed above. I have watched it happen and it is completely coincidental sometimes.

I have seen some players make it their personal mission to attack another player over and over again also. So I don't want to lead you to believe that it never happens. Because it does and sometimes happens that someone is just looking out to get you. But I feel that these situations are pretty limited, unless the two players have some type of competition going. Or they have a personal vendetta going between the two of them.

Keep in mind most people are just online to play the game. They want to have a good time and they want to play well. Honestly, are you not going to kill someone because you're afraid they may take it too personally or think that you have something than against them? Of course you want to play well. So you are going to take a shot regardless of who it is. You shouldn't think about who you are killing, because you are just trying to be a successful player.

I know this may be hard for some people to believe, but not everyone who plays well cheats. Believe it or not, some people are that good. They spend hours online and hours playing by themselves, becoming great players. Don't let your ego get in the way in admitting that another player can play the game better than you.Just remember there are a lot of people out there that are playing this game too. If you're having troubles believing what I’m saying just do the math. Do some research and find out how many copies of that game have been sold so far. There are a lot of people out there that are playing in just plain good. They are not using any cheats of any kind against you.If you really want to humble yourself start playing some LAN tournaments and you'll instantly be impressed by the type of game players there are out there. You will be surprised at how well some people are playing the same game you are and need no help. As much time as you think you played the game there is someone out there that dwarfs the amount of time you are playing and practicing the game. But I really like about playing tournaments is that you can't use cheats when playing so you really have a good way to judge how well you play the game.If you are playing online a lot, and you are certain someone is cheating than just report them. I know it sounds immature to report someone, but just remember that that person chose to play against others online and agreed to do it fairly. So reporting someone that is not playing the game fairly is okay because they are the ones breaking the rules and you shouldn't feel guilty about pointing that out to others. Now, be sure that someone is cheating before you report them though don't let your hurt ego make a bad decision. The important thing to remember is that even though there are a lot of cheaters out there. Not everyone is doing it. It is very easy to quickly assume that someone that plays really well against you is doing it unfairly. Most people out there are playing fairly so don't act like everyone that is better than you is cheating. It's a big world out there, accept it.

When you constantly use cheats I feel you are a poor player. When you have to use them you are basically admitting that you are not a good enough player to win without them. Whether or not you verbalize the fact that you use cheats it makes no difference, you are not a good enough player to win without using them. You have to accept the fact you are not good enough to win without them.

You will find your way much more rewarding when you do it on your own. I know I select a parent I say that, but it's true. When you use a cheat you know back in your mind that you really don't have to play as hard. Subconsciously you know that you weren't a good enough player to win without using a cheat. That can be gratifying at all.

If you know that you are good enough to play on the field of battle and not cheat then just play by yourself and practice more. I don't understand why this is such a tough concept for people to understand. Have you ever heard the term “Practice makes perfect”? It's not that tough to figure out that if you're getting FRAGGED the moment you step on the field then you need to practice more. Stop getting caught up in the world of instant gratification and improve your gameplay.

The more you practice the more you'll figure out what successful players are doing. A very easy way of learning, what successful people are going when they play is practice. I know I sound like a broken record, but you really just need to learn to do it. It can be frustrating and you will get FRAGGED a lot, but ultimately you will benefit when you step on the field and make the game look easy. You will be very impressed with yourself when you do well.

If you are playing a game and losing in a big way consider changing rooms and going into a room that is more your level of gameplay. I know your ego will be bruised, but if you learn how to play. You will be able to go into rooms that have a higher level of gaming going on. You will feel better about doing this, then cheating. Trust me, it will be frustrating at first but once you start pummeling people on your own accord and with your own skills you will be very happy.

I understand that sounds like basic advice but a lot of players need it. If the advice wasn't needed, to not use cheats then there would be no cheats to use. If players did not use cheats there would not be any cheats to use. Game programmers would never program cheats either. I know it's a pie-in-the-sky thought to think this advice could eliminate cheats. Unfortunately cheats can’t be eliminated, but let's reduce their power by not using them.
